Laser Cutter Session 26/01/11

Today I attended a laser cutting session, with no experience with using the software or the actual machine I walked away realising two things...

1. It made some of my 3D ideas in my sketchbook actually possible to create from using this method.
2. Why do I need to use a pair of scissors again? Or a scalpel for that matter..

Using a simple shape and repeating the shape and slightly changing it so it can interlock with each other creating the illusion that it is a 3 dimensional shape.

My first 3D sculpture created from laser cut pieces.

Using a home-made photography suite made from a cardboard box and desk lamps.
Who said D.I.Y doesn't look top quality?
